I've been working on this series all of Semester 2 in my visual arts class. It's been an accumilation of works that have steadily progressed. This piece acts as an accompany set towards the collage.
The artwork is pronounced as “sakura no hana” and translates to "Sakura Flowers". Inspired by a video from “Asian Boss” called “Life as Half Black Japanese High School Girl”. This piece aims to capture the true beauty of Japanese people, including those who may not look like such. We shouldn’t discriminate based solely on appearance. All Japanese people come in all forms and shapes. Everyone is unique and should be embraced by it.
